I love creating things! I started with oil pastels during the time in the USA, when I was studying for my Master in Computer Science. I found that art had a calming effect on me, and helped me deal with the stress of moving to a new country, so far from everything and everybody I knew. Soon after I took on oil painting as I found the texture of oils quite suited to my mood and imagination. Art was a great friend for me and helped me deal with personal and professional stress.
Later, after moving to Finland in 2005, I started getting into inkpen drawing. However, that side really took off after moving to Greenwich, UK in 2014. I especially got inspired by filigree jewelry and lace. I also started making clothing based on digitally processed versions of my inkpen drawings.
While I kept painting over the years, I started doing that more and more from 2014 on, using both oils and acrylic paints.
In 2017 I started experimenting with 3D printing pens and later I even started combining this with painting.
Recently, I got into making bracelets and I am still quite inspired by the various beads I am finding.
